Readers Theater, which celebrated its seventh anniversary in June 2006, draws on volunteer actors from Malibu, the San Fernando and Conejo Valleys to prepare presentations of literature for community groups and public access television.
The Malibu Book Discussion Group has been meeting weekly for over 16 years. The group meets on Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in the Club House of the Pt. Dume Mobile Home Park, 29500 W. Heathercliff Road in Malibu. Anyone is welcome to join at any time. There is no admission or dues charged.
The Malibu and Agoura Hills branches of the County of Los Angeles Public Library support this activity by making copies of the plays available for actors and the reading group members to borrow. The Agoura Hills Library and the City of Calabasas Library have provided rehearsal space for Readers Theater.
Readers Theater Television is shown weekly every Thursday at 5:30 PM on Time Warner Cable channel 25, public access television.

On Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at 1:00 PM, the Malibu Book Discussion Group will feature a live reading of selections from the play GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS by David Mamet with a discussion to follow. Readers Theater is providing actors for the meeting.
